Giroud Said He is Not Worried About Arsenal's Lost to Dortmund

Giroud not worried by workload
Giroud celebrates his goal against 2 -1 defeat to Dortmund

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud said he is confident that he will be able to cope with the physical demands of being the Gunners' only first choice frontman.

An injury to Lukas Podolski has meant that Nicklas Bendtner has been the only regonised striker on the bench for Arsenal, the Dane at times lining up alongside youngster Yaya Sanogo who is still finding his feet at the highest level.
As such, Giroud has led the line for Arsenal almost exclusively thus far this term, notching up 13 appearances in all competitions, all of which have been from the from the first whistle.
Such a heavy workload could take its toll down the line, but the Frenchman insists for now he is feeling no ill effects.
"Maybe I will have some rest next week, for the Capital One Cup," he said.
"I will speak to the boss but I am used to playing a lot of games and I feel good with my body so, touch wood, no injuries."
Arsenal suffered only their second defeat of the season on Tuesday when they went down 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, and Giroud insists that there is no reason to press the panic button after the loss.
"I don't want to look for excuses as to why we lost to Dortmund. We lost but we have won almost every other game - there was just the defeat to Aston Villa and the draw at West Brom in the league," he asserted.
"It's not the time to really be worried but we want to come back on Saturday and win at Crystal Palace."
